Beatles ganham Grammy pelo conjunto da obra

A banda, ao lado de Kraftwerk  e Isley Brothers, vai receber a honraria, que leva o nome de “Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award”, uma das principais categorias do Grammy Award.

Neil Portnow, presidente da entidade que comanda o Grammy, disse através de nota que é um imenso privilégio anunciar a homenagem a grupos tão influentes no mundo da música.

Em especial, ele citou os Beatles, que criaram um dos trabalhos mais ilustres da história da música mundial.

A cerimônia de entrega dos prêmios ao conjunto da obra será fechada e ocorrerá no dia 25 de janeiro, do ano que vem. Um dia depois rola a festa do 56º Grammy, que vai ao ar ao vivo pela CBS dos Estados Unidos , com a apresentação de artistas como Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Robin Thicke com T.I. e Lorde.
